Harmondsworth Barn Restoration

For many years there were real concerns about the future of Harmondsworth Barn, our beautiful local heritage site. Several years ago when the company that owned the barn was in financial difficulties the barn was offered to the local council for £1 but the council refused to take it over. I then convened a public meeting in St Mary’s church in Harmondsworth and we set up the Friends of the Barn. This group of local villagers has worked tremendously hard to preserve the barn. In response to our request English Heritage took over ownership of the barn and are currently undertaking extensive renovations to ensure this wonderful building is preserved for generations to come. This is a film of the barn taken by a drone to show just how the expert renovation is progressing.
