John visited the local Sri Guru Ravi Dass Gurdwara to meet constituents who worship at the temple. John’s relationship with the temple goes back to the 1980s when as a GLC Councillor John awarded the temple a grant to support its work in the community as an advice and counselling agency. This was the first gurdwara in UK history to be recognised in this way by a public body.
