Barra Hall park Summer Season includes a Children’s Play in Barra Hall Open Air Theatre

This year as part of the Barra Hall Park Summer season we have been really lucky in having the theatre company, Fourth Act, perform a children’s play written by Rosa O’Connor, called “Grimmly Ever After.” Despite the damp weather large numbers of children and parents have come along over the three days of the play to enjoy this very, very funny and entertaining fairy tale with a twist. The Barra Hall Community Development Committee, the community group I set up 11 years ago, has renovated Barra Hall, its park and the open air theatre. Each summer we organise Sunday afternoon concerts from the bandstand and performances of drama, dance and children’s entertainment in the open air theatre. This year every Sunday in August sees a band playing and on Saturday 29th August the Hillingdon Play Association is hosting in the park a talent competition for local bands. I filmed a few excerpts from Rosa O’Connor’s play.
