North Hyde Road Problems with Heavy Traffic.

This morning I visited North Hyde Road in Hayes to meet local residents who are concerned about the heavy traffic on this road. This has been a real problem for some time with an increasing number of heavy lorries using this road as the access point to the southern end of the Hayes Bypass and M4.

Our concerns are about the noise, pollution, safety, parking and even the impact on properties from pounding of the road surface by the massive vehicles now using this road. We met a council officer to discuss the parking issues but I am calling upon the council to undertake a comprehensive tarffic plan for this road to see how the heavy vehicles can be redirected on a more suitable route and for more effective traffic calming measures to improve the safety of local residents.
