Altosaxx, whilst John’s comment may have been a joke, the really funny thing is that if he was serious, he’d have to get in the queue behind thousands of other time travellers with the same idea…

Read your piece in The Mirror on Tuesday, absolutely brilliant, even my other half was impressed and she’s a Cameron fan!!

I posted a tweet on your behalf @http://twitter.com/michaelcronogue

Hope you get the numbers you need, your presence in the debate would ensure a genuine Labour voice is heard.

Good Luck Mate!!

John,

Although I am no longer a Labour voter (and wouldn’t vote Tory either), I do hope that someone other than the ‘selected’ few run for the leadership of the Labour party.

From reading the comments on this page, perhaps you should be that someone?

Best wishes - the UK needs someone that will put its people first, even if that means not towing the party line.

John, Dianne Abbot’s just said of Radio 4’s ‘Today’ program that you don’t think you’ll get enough nominations? I still think you’ve got to try.

The party needs you.

Hello John.  After the election I was going to join the Labour Party so I could vote for a left candidate.  Now Jon Cruddas has decided not to run and after your comments about the curtailment of the nomination process I really don’t see the point.  I hope you get enough support to run, but it does look like a stitch up.  What are these people afraid of?  Democracy?  The slim chance that an alternative to the free market might gain a foot-hold in the Labour Party (a party, let us not forget, that was formed by trade unionists and socialists)?  Honestly, it sometimes makes me despair of ever seeing an end to the viscious individualism that prevails inthis country.

Congrats John the only politician that is truly for the people. Listens to the people, never loses contact with the people and their needs and works for the people.  So come on how about you becoming the leader of the party!  Lets get some common sense in the commons…and by the way can you get my husband here in the UK - fed up of living alone when I have a good man to be by my side.  LOVE HAS A RIGHT facebook - graduate nurse/midwife/teacher Mrs Bahhaj - working hard to be able to afford the right to my husband! Like we need to change the rules for long term British taxpayers!!

Well done John! Nice to see an honest yet independent minded Labour MP reciprocated by his constituents despite a wave of blue threatening to sweep the nation. There’s only one thing that can have secured it; good honest work. Well done once more, and keep it up!
