John McDonnell MP
I have writtentoday to Shane McGaris, the Chief Executive of Hillingdon Hospital, to express my thanks to the staff at Hillingdon Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit for their hard work and dedication in coping with the heavy pressure on their service at present.
This is what I have said in my letter:
“Dear Shane,
I have been hearing and reading from various sources just how much pressure the Accident and Emergency Service is under at Hillingdon Hospital and indeed most of our hospitals around the country.
It appears the heavy pressure that was in the past placed upon A and E units every winter has now become a year round phenomenon.
My reason for writing is twofold.
First to say that if there is anything you need from me to assist, including whether it is lobbying for more resources from government, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Second, it is to ask you to convey to your staff in Accident and Emergency my thanks for the hard work they are undertaking in rising so well to the challenge of this pressure.
On behalf of my constituents I want to say thank you to them all for their dedication and commitment to the wellbeing of our community and our NHS.
Best wishes,
John
McDonnell MP”
