A few days ago in advance of the new lockdown, Paul Holmes, the rank and file candidate for the election of Unison’s General Secretary, called for a bonus of £1000 to be paid to front line workers dealing with the next wave of the Covid 19 pandemic. I support this call and hope that the Chancellor is listening.
