I send you all and your family my best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

I wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas.

Let’s all hope that peace can be achieved for all the families but especially in Ukraine and Gaza and the West Bank, where so many are suffering so much.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you have given me and my team throughout the last year.

This recent time has been really difficult for so many, but our community has really stepped up to help each other unconditionally.

They have shown a real spirit of community and for that I thank you all.

As in previous years, I am not sending Cards.

Instead, I am making a donation to Hillingdon Somali Women’s Group who have been supporting the most vulnerable people in our community for over 30 years.

I know that things are difficult for people, but if you would consider giving a donation this Christmas, no matter the amount, it will enable this group to continue their invaluable work in our community.
